When the disciples asked Jesus how to pray, he gave them the Lord's Prayer — a perfect summary of Christian life. At its center is the petition: "Thy Kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven." The Kingdom of God is not a distant future reality alone. It begins here and now, wherever justice, peace, and love take root in human hearts.
