The parable of the Prodigal Son is perhaps the greatest story of mercy ever told. A young man takes his inheritance, squanders it in reckless living, and ends up feeding pigs in a foreign land. When he comes to his senses and returns home, expecting only to be a servant, his father runs to embrace him and throws a celebration. This is the face of our God.
